Bear Creek Mountain Resort

If you’re looking for a multi-day getaway, Bear Creek Mountain Resort in Lehigh Valley is a great escape! Carve up over 86 acres of trails with varying difficulty. From simple bunny slopes to black diamond, all ages can kickoff those New Year’s fitness goals.

Because this is a resort, they also offer winter amenities like snow tubing and a family-friendly terrain park. This destination is a bit of drive for most of our Gemcraft communities, so turn your trip into a 3 day stay or a weekday retreat for special discounts and incentives.

Roundtop Mountain Resort

Perfectly situated in Central Pennsylvania is Lewisberry’s Roundtop Mountain Resort. The mountain offers 5 lifts, 20 trails for beginner and advanced skiers, and private and group classes for all ages. This ski resort even makes its own artificial snow if Mother Nature isn’t cutting it (and the fake stuff is actually more durable than the real deal!). There’s no lodging on site, so this is the ideal place for a single-day snow adventure.

Avalanche Xpress

Not into skiing or snowboarding? No problem! Avalanche Xpress in York has other winter sports for your family to try. Get ready to get chilly in ice skates or on a snow tube! This winter haven is perfect for families that just want a few hours of winter fun. After skating or tubing, fill up hungry tummies and enjoy the beautiful view at the Avenue Ale House & Pizza Loft, right on-site.

Pocono Mountains

One of Pennsylvania’s most famous destinations is the Pocono Mountains. If you’ve never been, there’s no shortage of winter activities to choose from! Besides the 185 ski and snowboarding slopes, try your hand at dog sledding, snow-shoeing, horseback riding, and ice skating.
