South Central Pennsylvania Fall Fun

It’s beginning to feel like fall in Pennsylvania! Orange leaves, crisp air, shorter days; it’s the best time of the year. Our communities are near some of the best fall activities that PA has to offer. So get out those scarves, flannels, and boots and let’s start jumping in some leaves! We’re giving you our top fall festivities around Harrisburg and York County for the whole family to enjoy.

Fall Foliage Dinner Cruise

Located in Harrisburg, 17 miles from our Winslett Community, this cruise is a must have for those who like taking scenic adventures. Starting October 6th on every Saturday, you can witness some of the best fall foliage that Pennsylvania has to offer. You’ll be on a 2 hour cruise along the Susquehanna River. Enjoy a 3 course dinner accompanied by some live music in the background. Perfect for a date night getaway!

Fall Farm Day

Located at the Amish Farm and House in Lancaster, just a short 44 mile road trip away from our Lexington Estates Community, this festival is great for the whole family. On October 12-14, take part in butter churning or walk through their pumpkin patch. Each adult ticket has three pumpkins included for pumpkin chuckin’ and each childrens ticket comes with free face painting or pumpkin painting. Taste some amazing fall foods featuring local, classic lancaster eateries! You can also get an additional ticket for a guided tour of their farm!

Apple Festival

On October 11-13, go to Spring Gate Vineyard and take part in their Apple Festival! It’s just a short 15 mile drive from our Briarcliff Community. You’ll “look on the bright-cider life!” From 12-3pm each day, there will be free craft cider tastings you can enjoy. There will be live music, food, and libations so you’ll definitely not be hungry. Fall Fest

Head over to picturesque Flinchbaugh’s Orchard in York County for this classic fall festival. It’s just a 27 mile drive from our up and coming Bridgeview Community. You can harvest your own pumpkins and even pick your own apples. This free event is perfect for the whole family to take part in. There will be live music, games, food concessions and yummy treats available. Take a scenic wagon ride around the property and challenge yourselves to their 5 acre corn maze. There is also a straw bale jungle gym, perfect for the little ones.


This festival on October 12th is a must for beer and wine enthusiasts. Located on the York Fairgrounds, 26 miles from our Briarcliff Community, this festival caters to those who like to #drinklocal. Try over 70+ ales and lagers and 120+ local Pennsylvania wines. Bring your friends for this perfect fall weekend getaway.
