Give these ideas a try to make the most of your fall season.

Fifteen minutes away from our Grays Run Overlook community in Aberdeen, MD, awaits the beautiful views at the Steppingstone Farm Museum in  Havre De Grace! Gaze at the oasis of fall colors while strolling through the twenty-three-acre property. The historic buildings pair nicely with the changing leaves of autumn to create the ideal vision of fall.

Nature lovers looking for a little more excitement can head to Elk Neck State Park for a forest of fall hues! Less than a thirty-minute drive from our Walnut Hill community in Elkton, MD, this state park offers the most diverse views of fall in Maryland. Located on a peninsula between the Chesapeake Bay and the Elk River, the park features a variety of landscapes including sandy beaches, serene marshlands and wooded areas making up a colorful forest. Water sports enthusiast should try their hand at kayaking for the best sights of the park during autumn.

The Darlington Apple Festival should be on your fall bucket list this year! The famous Apple Festival is an annual one-day event in the charming town of Darlington, MD. Featuring pumpkins, mums, crafts, entertainment, art, a country market, refreshments and of course, apples. Thirteen minutes away from our Broad Creek Estates community in Street, MD, this festival has become one of the largest single-day events in the state.

From September 29th through the end of October, catch a hayride to pick your very own pumpkin at Brad’s Farm in Churchville, MD. Every Saturday and Sunday guest can navigate through one of Harford County’s best corn mazes. More than your average corn maze, this themed puzzle, promotes team-building and creates memories for friends and family! Only forty minutes away from our Calder Estates community in Parkton, MD, Brads Farm is one to visit for your festive fall fix.

Last, but certainly not least on our list of fall fun in Harford County, is the Havre de Grace Annual Oktoberfest! Enjoy authentic German food and cold brews while listening to live German music by Smitty’s Polka Band. Hosted by the City of Havre De Grace in Hutchins Park,  guest can purchase German merchandise as craft vendors will also be set up at the event, as well as a kids zone with games, crafts and a moon bounce.
